With Amazon you can normally post question, I don’t see that option in this case. Purchasing direct the next major version is free not sure that’s the case from Amazon. Also, there does not seem to be a trial version or a 90-day money back guarantee. It no clear if this is true if you purchase from Amazon. When you purchase direct you have access to update for free, plus preview build for bug fixes. It does not state the version or build of Moneydance you are purchasing you could be getting an old version or build.
